If you were sensitive as a child it’s highly likely your child will be too.
What a sensitive or empathic child needs is a safe haven. When they come back home allow them space to decompress and this usually means removing clothes 😄 salt baths are wonderful and weighted or cosy blankets can really help.
Grounding is vital and regulating their own nervous system is essential to stay balanced and healthy. Deep breathing, holding a crystal as a “worry stone,” calming essential oils like lavender, walking barefoot, holding a plush toy, comforting food and a loving hug can all help tremendously.
The most important thing is to support them even if you don’t understand what they are experiencing. It will have long reaching effects for their future.
