Bathroom Closet Clean-Up Challenge:
🧼🛀🧘♀️🕯
Continuing our letting go journey & healing trauma by removing clutter!! ✨️🙏✨️ lets focus on bathroom closet organization next!!
Here are some tips and strategies that will transform our space from chaotic to calming:
Start with a Complete Clear-Out
The most effective bathroom closet organization begin with taking everything out. This gives us a clean slate and helps us truly see what we are working with. Lay all items on a table or towel or sheet to keep them contained. Sort Using the 4-Box Method – As you remove items, sort them into four categories:
Keep (items you use regularly)Store elsewhere (items that belong in another area)Donate/Sell (items in good condition you no longer need)Trash (expired products, empty containers, damaged items)
Check Expiration Dates!! Bathroom products don’t last forever! Check all medications, skincare, and makeup for expiration dates.
Get ‘rid of it if expired! Most products have a symbol showing how many months they’re good for after opening (like “12M” means 12 months).
Create Functional Zones & Organize your closet into zones based on usage patterns:
Daily essentials (within easiest reach)Weekly use items (middle shelves)Seasonal or rarely used items (higher shelves)First aid supplies (in a dedicated container)
I also have two tween/teens so giving them their own space is important. ❤️💙🤍Everyone gets a shelf or basket! Let them “be in charge” of their toiletries! For my daughter that section is getting, Ahem, bigger! Lol
Smart Storage Solutions: Consider these affordable organization tools: Baskets @ Dollar Gen for $$ cheap! ❤️Clear stackable bins for categorizing items. Door-hanging organizers for additional storage or Lazy Susans for easy access to small items. Magnetic strips for metal items like tweezers or nail clippers. Small baskets with labels for grouping similar items. Maintenance is Key!
Don’t put it down…Put it away!!!
Set a reminder to do a quick 10-minute reset once a week, and a deeper clean-out every season. This prevents the closet from returning to its former chaotic state.
